How to Read a Recipe Map
A Recipe Map shows you how each ingredient moves through a recipe. Instead of jumping between a long ingredient list and separate instructions, you can see what to use, what to do, and when—all in one place.
Reading one, step by step
1. Find your ingredients
The ingredients and their measurements are listed down the left side of the map.
2. Start on the left
The cooking stages move from left to right, just like reading a page. Begin with the first stage and continue across.
3. Follow the action boxes
Each colored box tells you what to do. Its position shows which ingredient or ingredients are being used in that action.
4. Tap for more information
Tap or click an action box to see the full instruction, including any time, temperature, or helpful notes.
5. Use the view that works for you
On smaller screens, swipe sideways to continue through the map or choose “One stage at a time.” If you prefer a traditional recipe, the Ingredients and Instructions sections are still available below every Recipe Map.
A tiny example
Try it: tap one of the colored action boxes.
